A report on the proceedings against Robert Karl Ludwig Mulka and others before the court at Frankfurt am Main. It is estimated that from 1 to 4 million 'special incidents' took place at Auschwitz -- mass and isolated murders as part of Hitler's 'Final Solution of the Jewish Problem.' On 20 December 1963, twenty-two former SS men were brought before the court for their role in the 'special incidents.' Most of them insisted that they merely carried out orders for their superiors. Sentences ranged from three years to life at hard labor; three defendants were acquitted.
